Not your
average hotel

We don't do swimmingpools and we don't do breakfast, but we do do awesome views, the biggest rooms you have ever seen in a truly iconic building!

A true urban icon

As one of the highest watertowers in the Netherlands, this massive construction of bricks and steel used to hold a massive amount of water up until 2013. The tower was built under the architecture of the city’s architect dr. Mulock Houwer himself. The Watertoren West has only recently been transformed into a hotel, but still you can see and feel it’s former use in every corner and every room. Standing proud and tall above most of Groningen, this watertower is a true urban icon.

Meetings & events

In addition to staying overnight, Hotel Watertoren West offers a unique place to organize events, meetings and get-togethers. Arrange a business meeting in one of the meeting rooms situated in the upper water reservoir or host an event in the Skylounge while enjoying a fantastic view of the city and the surrounding countryside.

Business

Everything in Hotel Watertoren West is aimed at facilitating the business traveller. You will stay comfortably for longer periods in our spacious and fully equipped apartments. Use the offices and apartments to work remotely or organize a special team building trip for your staff.
